Are You a Critical Thinker?
Honestly, I wish they would teach healthy scepticism, critical thinking and discernment already at school! I for sure didn't learn it there...
Personally I believe it's very easy, especially when you're somewhat of a seeker and very open minded person, who's quite eager to check out things; teaching modalities, different spiritual approaches etc. to fall prey to a charismatic, popular teacher. Following them without questioning things.
There's so many 'wolves in sheep's clothing' pretending to be something they're not. Eventually harming a great deal of people.
That's why it's so important to learn to not put anyone on a pedestal and to keep on staying alert, when following someone's teac...

After all you can’t violate the creative spirit! What do you do to get out of trying mode into more of a flow state, trusting yourself? #visibility #authentic #improvisation #thoughtprovoking #crea...

It's one year now, that I've been consistently showing up on social media and it all started with a content creation challenge run by George Kao. I've come to terms with folks who are improvisors, and what I call Formula People. Both are necessary. If you threw a formula person into a strange situation, they may not do as well as an improvisor. Yet, if you had to lock into a calculated, repetitive process with precision, I'd go with the Formula folks. Some of the finest processes have evolved from improvisation and become standard flow/process.. It's a wacky world 🤣

@@echopathy yes I agree, both is very valuable and necessary and I am very familiar with creating processes from improvisation. And I know great conceptual artists too. Ideally it’s great to be able to do a bit of both 🙃 or do what suits the person best.

Thanks, you made me even think more on this. Maybe I'll do another video on this. I would say it comes down a bit to intention amongst other things. When someone creates from their pain for example, but then has brought it into a certain shape through technique, style etc. because they want to bring the audience along on the journey and the personal becomes a shared experience at the same time. But when the emotion is just put out there to have a sense of relief, then the second step is missing. It can be a great place to start, but at some point we need to be artful with it, unless we are doing it just for ourselves and not an audience. I hope it makes sense, I could go on and on about this. And at the end of the day, it's only my perspective.

I grew up as a people pleaser... Was attracted to broken people thinking i could make them laugh their way out of things. An exhausting way to live, but I've learned to leverage that more as I've grown. To witness my close friend still attempting to appease his loved ones is difficult. I see his attempts stripping him of energy and happiness - As he shares frustration over a lack of reciprocity. He gives so much, and people just keep taking it.

Recently watched a bio on Gotye. "Wally" would mess around with live tracks and many audio samples to compose things at his parents' home. He spent some time after they sold the house moving from place to place working odd jobs and making songs on the side. Then one day, he hit it big with a sleeper hit. It all blew up for him - Doors opened wide.. Yet he decided to lay low (for now) .. "I decided it made more sense to focus on creative things and not get hung up on money and lawyers and courts." This I assume he meant the 40% or so royalties he paid back for the samples he used. He even turned off RUclips ads. Curious story ~~> Seems like he just wants to make stuff and not be bothered.

Totally agree. My personal belief thus far is that evil does exist. And in this realm that we occupy, all the things that we think we know, are subject to various "laws". The laws are neutral, and therefore there is room for both benevolence and evil to take form and proliferate. We are in a time where we as a collective have not unified enough on a superconscious level to realize we may all inherently want to co-create a benevolent world and believe that it's possible to do so. But we have, however, unified enough to be evolving in that direction, and enough for the forces of evil to easily manipulate the masses. It is a dangerous time, as it seems it has been for as long as we have existed, but I do believe we are at a critical tipping point. I pray we can enter a time where we can truly come together to create peace and extinguish evil forever and always. That being said, we will always be subject to destruction by/within nature itself, not necessarily by evil, so there is an impermanence and risk of loss no matter what. But adding evil into the equation, things get very very ugly.

Most days I ask myself so when do I get to be my authentic self if I am in danger?I ask myself so what if I don't get my chance,I would have lived most of my life in a non authentic way because of my surrounding!I need to get out of here to finally express myself, who I am and what my talents are.I never tasted freedom except one time when I traveled alone.Of course I had heared awful words before I left the country because how would I dare to leave? It felt so peaceful and calming to my soul just living away from everything,I did not miss anything. It is terrible to live in a situation when the people living with you force you to be someone you are not, they project your role from their desires and create conflict from nothing. On top of that you cannot say what you feel or what you think because everything is made fun of so you become just a silent existace like a slave.I hate my toxic family.
